Overview:

Providessocial work services for patients and families to enhance theirpsychosocial functioning. Performs duties and responsibilities in amanner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy ServiceStandards.

Qualifications:

• Education:Master's in SocialWork.
• Licensure:Current LMSW or LCSW in the state ofemployment.
• Experience:0-2 years experience in acute care hospitalsetting.
• Other Skills &Knowledge:
  • 1. Strong verbal andwritten communication and facilitationskills.
  • 2. Strong assessment skills, timemanagement skills, critical thinking skills.
  • 3.Advanced computer skills.
  • 4. The assessment,care and treatment provided by Social Worker II will be consistentwith the specific age-related needs of the patient. Is competent tocare for patient age groups including neonatal/infant, child,adolescent, adult and geriatric adultpatients.
  • 5. Skills and knowledge of humanbehavior and clinical aspects of medical SocialWork.
  • 6. Ability to interact effectively with avariety of people and situations at all levels of theorganization.
  • 7. Valid Drivers license andcurrent Motor VehicleRegistration
