Who are we seeking? The best-in-class candidate will have the following:

• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or healthcare organization, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• This role will primarily focus on providing support to the General Counsel and VP of Compliance and Ethics in litigation, contract management, transactional matters, and general administrative tasks. Familiarity with healthcare privacy and security regulations, electronic medical records systems, operational, quality assurance, and regulations is essential.
• Serve as a key resource on privacy matters related to compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act of 1974, and other relevant state and federal laws, rules, and
• regulations?.
• Open, close, and manage incidents and breach reporting in the database, including data entry and assigning incident tracking numbers.
• Assist VP Compliance with researching and investigating incidents and mitigation/remediation efforts.
• Assist VP Compliance with responding to privacy questions and concerns from team members, resident/patients, families, contractors/business associates, and other state and federal agencies.
• Assist VP Compliance with annual HIPAA compliance requirements including completion of Security Risk Assessments; reviewing and updating HIPAA policies and Notice of Privacy Practices; HIPAA training for new and existing employees and external parties doing business on behalf of the company.
• Oversee contract management system to ensure compliance with Touchstone's approved contract terms as well as monitor contract renewals and terminations.
• Assist with management of litigation docket, including coordination of responses to discovery requests.
• Assist with due diligence, preparation of resolutions, and other transactional matters

• Other duties on the position agreement as assigned by the VP of Compliance and General Counsel
