Responsibilities:
  • Performs clinical laboratory tests.
  • Assures instrumentation is operating according to industry standards.
  • Continually strives to improve processes to achieve accurate test results in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Occasionally supervises activities of phlebotomists and clerks on specific tasks.
  • Occasionally functions as acting supervisor.
  • Reports to a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
  • Receives general supervision from Pathologists, Director, Lead Technologist and Medical Technologists.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

Experience

  • At least 1 years of MT background

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

  • Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent

Compensation/Benefits

  • $24.75-$43.71/hr depending on previous experience
