The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), near the beautiful Ozark Mountains, is seeking a full-time HEMONC in Little Rock. Minimum qualifications include an MD/DO from an LCME accredited institution, completion of an ACGME accredited residency (if foreign residency, must be followed by 5 years of practice or fellowship experience in the USA, and provide copy of ECFMG), and possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State or territory.

Additional preferences:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
  • Skilled in the best practices for Hematology Oncology diagnostic, intervention, and therapeutics

Highlights of this opportunity:

  • Potential starting base salary range: $280,000-$350,000
  • Daily schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; On-call responsibilities are shared with other Hemonc in the section, which includes nights, weekends and holidays, no more than 10 days per month for full-time physician. A full hospitalist team manages most weeknight and weekend issues based on your preferences.
  • Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - Assistance with payment of outstanding medical school loans up to $200K over 5 years, if approved.
  • Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5 days paid for CME)
  • No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
  • Plus additional financial incentives, such as recruitment, and relocation.
