Corewell Health's department of behavioral health is growing to add a BC/BE Adult Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital.

The Consult Liaison (CL) Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units and emergency department for patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities. The CL Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and give recommendations for patients on the respective services, and facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed for the diverse population served. This role includes resident and medical student education.

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. You will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health East system!

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • BC/BE psychiatry
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, a persuasive communicator who is empathetic and a respectful listener who can create an atmosphere that allows individuals to flourish within the context of the department.
  • Must be able to obtain an unrestricted license in Michigan
