Summary:

Radiologic Technologist will be required to perform a widevariety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. Thetechnologist will provide support for other imaging technologistsas needed. The technologist may be assigned to work in a variety oflocations. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basicmaintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to imageprocessing and the image archiving system. Behavior andcommunication skills must align with the organizations mission,values and culture.

Responsibilities:

• Meets expectations of the applicableOneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, orLeader of Leaders.
• Performs a variety ofdiagnostic procedures, some of a more complex nature, utilizingproper technique and giving appropriate procedural instructions tothe patient.
• Evaluates patient for clinicalcontrast history and possible contra- indications.
• Adheres to established section andorganizational protocols, QA guidelines and regulatoryrequirements.
• Interacts appropriately withpatients and all care providers by coordinating and prioritizingprocedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patientcare and continuity.
• Must possess the abilityand willingness to rotate within departments and clinics for propercoverage.
• Assists Radiologist or other medicalprofessional in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures usingequipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
• Ensures that exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stockedprior to exams being performed and acts to ensure compliance withInfection Control standards.
• Ensures allcharges are correctly coded and entered.
• Appropriately adapts to assigned patient assessment, treatment,and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical,psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific and otherdevelopmental needs of each patient served.
• Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentialityof patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidentialinformation unless it is necessary in the performance of assignedjob duties.
• Demonstrates adherence to the Corevalues of CHRISTUS Health Care.
• Performs otherduties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in ahospital preferred.
• Basic LifeSupport
• Licensed Med Rad TechLouisiana
• Licensed Med Rad Tech TempLouisiana
• Reg RadiographyARRT
• Associate's Degree in Related Field ofStudy
