This clinic provides services to the surrounding community through a delivery model that is a combination of family medicine practice, walk-in convenient care as well as ancillary services. These services are co-located under the same roof, sharing the same space, and work in concert for the benefit of area patients by:

  • Addressing acute, preventative and chronic disease management
  • Serving as a continuity of care resource during evening and weekend hours
  • Provide a local resource for moderate lab, and digital x-ray needs
  • Finally meeting the acute needs of adults who may perceive they do not need a primary care physician but would benefit greatly from health management

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction in a collaborative environment to provide general Primary Care. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group is a collaborative partnership between St. Luke's Health System and Baylor College of Medicine.

Practice Information :

  • Flexible 4-day work week with no weekends
  • Average 18-24 patients per day
  • Ability to perform procedures if desired
  • Competitive base salary plus wRVU bonus + annual quality incentive
  • Employed position with Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group
  • Dedicated M.A. will be provided with shared non-clinical staff

Education and Certifications required:

  • Masters degree Graduate from an approved PA program;
  • Texas license,
  • National Board Certification
  • BLS (active).

Core Competencies for Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC)

  • Obtain and record medical history;
  • Perform physical examinations including rectal and pelvic exams as appropriate;
  • Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to laboratory test, radiographic test, and EKGs;
  • Formulate a diagnosis ;
  • Identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic interventions as allowed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, Texas Board of Medicine, Prescriptive Authority/Collaborative Practice Agreement, And DEA regulations ;
  • Educate and counsel patients and families according to diagnosis ;
  • Make appropriate referrals to patient and family
